Who we are
We are a group of caring, task-oriented and determined citizens that are organized on a local, national and international level with a common interest to help rebuild the most vulnerable Haitian communities, especially after the disastrous earthquake that happened on Jan 12, 2010.
You have heard the news. Unfortunately, there has been another earthquake in Haiti, and it has impacted 1.2 million people. So far, more than 2000 folks have lost their lives and thousands more injured. The 7.2 quakes have also destroyed or damaged tens of thousands of homes, rendered thousands of people homeless, and left millions of others traumatized. The aftershocks have forced the remainder of people whose homes weren’t affected to sleep in the streets and open fields. Still, just when they thought it couldn’t get any worse, the tropical storm Grace battered the people with heavy rains making an already difficult situation worse. As you well know, our beloved Haiti was already in crisis way before the quake as it dealt with ongoing political instability, food insecurity, gas shortage, and pandemic issues, not to mention the assassination of President Jovenel Moise last month.
To provide sustainable help to the people affected by this catastrophe, Padjo Foundation will be working with well-known community leaders and churches in the most afflicted areas to give tents, blankets, water, ready to eat food, hygiene kits, clothes, baterry flash lights, medical supplies, and some financial support to help them rebuild their homes.
Please join us. In a spirit of transparency, you will receive the first seat in all our distribution efforts. We will upload pictures and videos so that our donors can see the work that we are doing.
